There is clear data about who is served and who is hurt by open enrollment. There is not clear information on how SB101 would actually work in NH. Which district is the sending district if parents live in different towns? Who decides when a district is "full"? How can districts budget for fixed costs for students who stay when they must pay for those who leave? What about students who can't commute? Are poor students to be trapped in failing districts? What body will oversee equitable access and fair acceptance/denial of transfers? Will sports recruitment be allowed? The legislature has sent education bills to interim study for much less. Do you represent the people? Your constituents? Your party? Or the almighty dollar? Now's the time to show it.
