As a licensed social worker in this state since 2002, I support this bill. Shrinking federal dollars have resulted in limited Medicaid reimbursement and your conservative colleagues in this legislature make the situation worse for many underserved individuals. We know this is what you want, to allow underserved people to suffer while wealthy people carry on just fine. People will die, however, if you do not pony up some funds to help family caregivers. Do the right thing and act human, in the manner that your constituents hoped you would act when they voted for you. Otherwise, they may just vote you out.
