This bill can jeopardize safety of trans people by legislating that they can be placed in prison populations that endanger them because of how they present. Like saying that homosexuality is a choice that can be discarded, trans people cannot just make themselves conform to some predetermined standard of masculinity or feminity. The arguments that trans people present a threat to women is false. And as a woman who has encountered many trans people, I have never encountered an issue. I am much more afraid of men who are the primary cause of violence to women.
