As a retired environmental engineer (P.E.) whose career was in wastewater treatment facilities & site clean-ups, the passage of this Bill is ESSENTIAL. Why-? Cause the problems associated w/algae blooms & cyanobacteria is a Statewide problem now, and will only increase in scope & breath of water-bodies impacted, increasing over time. Thus, it needs a broad based solution. Why-? Because our lakes are a true resource for ALL. Don't u think that "clean water-bodies" are a DRAW for both residents & out-of-State tourists as well-? And by maintaining "clean water bodies", ALL parties will continue to contribute revenue $$ into the State coffers during their stay & visits. I have been an active boating enthusiast - both motorized & now kayaks - for the past 35 years. We will ALL regret the gradual continuation of this problem if preventative measures are not made available & adequately funded to support their implementation. Thnx for listening - Ron Rayner
