Just another move to implement more taxes. We already have too many add-on fees in boat registrations claiming to address these same issues. Cyanobacteria only occurs in late summer/early fall on a few lakes and pond with fertilizer issues. Wake surfing boats are a much bigger issue eroding the shoreline and releasing nutrients into the water. Cyanobacteria are naturally limited by insufficient iron in the water. NHDES Alteration of Terrain permits now require stormwater treatment with iron filings. Those iron ions are released with the stormwater outflow into lakes, ponds and rivers, providing the iron that cyanobacteria need to grow. This is a NHDES/UNH caused problem, don't give them more funding. Duncan Mellor, PE
