I strongly oppose this bill, there are numerous other states that successfully offer school choice through open enrollment but those states actually attempt to fund their public schools properly and even the playing field between school districts. As it’s written now it will wreak havoc on public schools who are already struggling with declining enrollment and property owners who are tired of footing the bill for something the state should be helping with. It will continue to exacerbate the inequities and continue to erode rather than support public education in a time when it has never been more important.
