I specifically moved to an area with a good school district and have taken on a substantial property tax burden to be here. This bill removes the connection between our astronomical property taxes and the quality of the schools that result. Unless there is a unified property tax across the state coming with this open enrollment, it is a slap in the face to every citizen who made difficult financial decisions to access high quality education.
