S Bridget Barker | Oppose SB101

I oppose SB101 because it further erodes public education in NH. Many people still depend on public education for their families and it is an important part of creating educated citizens and a skilled workforce. Public education is generally supported by the majority of people in the state. Further it is a mandate of the State to allow public education that is fair and equitable. Open enrollment across the state's public schools does not follow this mandate. It exacerbates the problem of inequality. It is time for the NH Legislature to do the hard work of making our public schools better by supporting them financially and not passing it all onto the property owners. Respectfully, Bridget Barker
