Richard DeMark | Oppose SB572

This is a replace-all amendment to bring back HB 1616, which was tabled last session. HB 1616 is an anti-vaccine bill that would prohibit “any state agency or political subdivision from using public funds to advertise or otherwise promote vaccines.” This bill would ban our state health department and local communities from even telling families when vaccines are available, including during an outbreak. It would silence the state's ability to communicate with families about vaccine-preventable diseases during outbreaks and eliminate educational resources for health care providers. This is one part of the anti-vaccine agenda coming from RFK Jr. and other anti-vaccine, anti-science politicians. What’s happening in DC is coming to New Hampshire, and our kids’ health is caught in the middle. We should trust doctors and scientists, not politicians, to guide public health decisions.
