As a cisgender woman, this bill does not make me feel more safe in bathrooms or locker rooms. It makes me feel less safe overall in this state to know that lawmakers are wasting their publicly-funded time and efforts policing gender instead of focusing on real issues that cause documented harm to women such as wage gaps and healthcare inequalities. Transgender people are not a threat to anyone.
