Dena Romero | Oppose HB1252

I find it sad that we are so unwelcoming to people from other countries who may not speak English and who want a drivers license. What does not speaking English have to do with driving a car? The two are not mutually exclusive. I am sure that some legislators have traveled to other countries where they don't speak the language and still rented a car to drive to various destinations. Let us be more welcoming to people who come here to make a better life for themself and their family and who want a legitimate drivers license. Certainly applying for a license is better than driving without a legitimate license. I fail to understand why we go to such efforts to make life more difficult for people who happen to be immigrants. We should always keep in mind that if we are not Native Americans , then we are all immigrants .
