I am writing in support of this bill to prohibit vaccination of children within schools. As a parent and citizen, I believe that medical decisions for children belong solely to their parents or legal guardians, in consultation with their chosen healthcare providers. Schools exist to educate children, not to administer medical procedures. Introducing medical interventions in the school setting removes parents from the decision-making process at the very moment their presence, consent, and discernment matter most. I believe deeply in the principle of informed consent. Parents deserve the opportunity to fully review medical information, ask questions, consider their child’s individual needs, and make decisions without pressure or urgency. The school environment is not an appropriate place for such decisions to occur. My position is rooted in my sincere convictions about parental authority, bodily autonomy, and personal responsibility. Regardless of differing opinions on medical matters, I believe we can all agree that parents—not institutions—are ultimately responsible for the health and welfare of their children. This bill protects that fundamental right. It ensures that parents remain fully involved in medical decisions and prevents situations where children may be vaccinated without their parent present to guide and consent. I respectfully urge you to support this bill to preserve parental rights and ensure that medical decisions remain where they belong: within the family. Thank you for your time and consideration.
