With diagnoses of autism and spectrum disorders on the rise, a decision to dismantle current support of individuals and families requiring developmental, educational and mental health services would have longterm damaging effects both on individual, family and community health and well-being. NH needs to support professional providers specifically trained to diagnose and help individuals develop their full potential for productive lives and prevent strain on families.
