I stand against this bill. The Refugee Resettlement programs in our state provide valuable support to those first coming to our country, often from harsh conditions in the countries of their birth. The programs in NH have been instrumental in settling the Afghans who came to NH after being of valuable service to our military in Afghanistan. It has also helped families who have been displaced by wars and needed safety. The Refugee Resettlement programs, and the people they bring to our state are such an important contribution to the culture of NH, and I want us to continue to show caring support to those in need here in NH.
