I don't understand why you would make the school administration jobs an elected position when there are already elected school board members. Unfortunately, elected officials oftentimes run because they have axes to grind, rather than for the common good. Most importantly, I want a professional educator to run my school district - one that has dedicated their life to their profession and the rigorous scholarship it deserves. I have been on numerous hiring committees for school districts during my tenure as an educator/counselor, and I appreciate the hard work that goes into hiring selections,
