For me and others who are trying to find employment, it can often feel like we are judged before even being considered, and that sighted applicants are chosen over us. I cannot be certain that this has been the reason in every job search situation, but if it is, it is frustrating because we want the opportunity to work as well. HB 1593 would help ensure that I and others are considered fairly and not overlooked. It would be encouraging for New Hampshire to support this and set an example, rather than follow practices that may not promote fairness and equal opportunity.
