I am writing today to strongly oppose HB 1804-FN. We need serious, qualified superintendents who have dedicated their lives and careers to education. What we do not need are politicians turning the job of superintendent into a never-ending political campaign. Superintendents should be focusing their time on the needs of the school district, not on a political campaign every two years to preserve their position. Keep politics out of school administration. I also strongly object to this hearing being intentionally scheduled during vacation week, when many parents and teachers are not able to be present. I urge the committee to vote Inexpedient to Legislate on HB 1804-FN.
