Dear Chair Noble and Members of the Education Policy and Administration Committee, I oppose HB 1804. Having a single chief school administrator at the county level except for Nashua and Manchester reduces local control and connection. A single chief school administrator would not be able to have the needed understanding and relationship with each SAU in the county to address what is best for that district. Superintendents should be experts in public education and not part of the political system. They need to work with their communities to establish collaborative and productive educational teams. They should not be elected but be selected by the school board to meet the needs of the local district. I ask that you vote Inexpedient to Legislate on HB 1804. Respectfully, Linda Olson Bundy Antrim
