Abortion is healthcare. Abortion is a choice. This state prides itself in “live free or die”. Why does it constantly feel like the “or die” is more important than the “live free”? How are we supposed to trust our leaders and our prized slogan if they don’t give us the freedom we deserve? No one is forcing people to get abortions if they don’t want them. Getting an abortion is a hard choice, and if contraceptives, sex ed, and poverty were all problems we worked on, we would find that abortion rates would drop.
