Antiabortion centers—often called “crisis pregnancy centers”—pose serious risks to women’s health and a state’s financial stability. These centers frequently provide medically inaccurate information, delay access to legitimate reproductive care, and discourage evidence-based healthcare decisions, which can lead to preventable medical complications, emotional distress, and HIGHER healthcare costs over time. By diverting public funding and resources from licensed clinics toward organizations that are not medically regulated, states inadvertently increase the long-term financial burden on public health systems. The result is poorer health outcomes, greater economic strain on families forced into unplanned parenthood, and a widening gap in equitable healthcare access—costing taxpayers more and undermining the overall wellbeing of the state’s residents. I simply cannot understand how this is something our legislators are spending our tax dollars on. Why would they be trying to pass bills that will increase NH healthcare costs for NH families when we are in the middle of a affordability healthcare crisis. Who does this benefit?
