This bill would repeal the section of the 2025 budget trailer bill in which the Republican majority in the legislature basically told the NH Supreme Court that the legislature doesn’t have to abide by the Court’s interpretation of the NH Constitution. If the Court’s decisions aren’t considered binding on the legislature (including when the legislature doesn’t like them), we’ve entered an era of unfettered legislative power that the founders tried to protect against.
