NH's public schools are underfunded and under attack by elected officials in Concord who do nothing to correct the funding problems and instead spend their time interfering in local decision making and harassing educators, parents and children. Public education is important for our children, our businesses, our economy and our future. The state is not correcting the problems in our public education system, and every time I look at proposed bills I see several that seek to damage our schools. There is no effort to correct decades-old funding problems. So I support any effort to reduce the state legislature's authority over public education.
