A public education has been the backbone of this nation from the very beginning. To change all the schools to charter schools discriminates against those who cannot afford such schools. In some places it could even be used to prevent some children from going to school at all. This may not be unconstitutional but it is unconscionable! Having been raised by a single mother, if it hadn't been for the public schools I would not be a college graduate today! Don't discriminate!
