I oppose House Bill 1712 because it shifts already limited public education resources toward restructuring and expanding charter pathways instead of strengthening our traditional public schools. Legislation like this undermines local control, diverts funding, and distracts from addressing the real needs in our classrooms, teachers, and communities. Public education deserves investment, not policies that risk weakening it.
