The idea of consolidating the SAU officials regionally is not acceptable. Considering we are small communities who need to vote on every addition, contract, change made to our schools or for our students, taking the lead control away from the towns make no sense. For a state that waives the "Live Free" flag, putting elected political figures in control of our town's educational systems is unacceptable. We already see how this Federal administration is targeting, punishing and defunding educational institutions that do not agree with them. I don't want politicians to have that kind of power over our NH children's education. I want the people in those roles to be experts in the field of education, educational policies and district management and to be accountable to the town, not a political party.
