Although I was an educator, and truly support having a variety of educational pathways for different students to learn. We are also a country that guarantees a free public education, and we have a responsibility to provide that equitably to all students. Making it easier to create private schools with fewer votes is damaging to that responsibility. Losing oversight of the program leaves us not knowing what our tax dollars are going to, which is doubly important for a state that depends on local property tax to fund education. Would it not be better to find other ways to help fund a better and more diverse public education? Please oppose this patchwork "solution" to parents dissatisfaction with the public schools, and use our tax money to create cohesive solutions for ALL students
