This bill is another attempt to infringe further on the right of women and their partner and physician to make important health and family planning decisions into which the government has no right to interfere. It's just a slow creep to outlawing the right to reproductive freedom altogether and criminalizing women's decisions when they don't align with those of the religious conservatives of the state. There is no evidence and never will be because it's unscientific, that 20 week fetuses have personhood; that is something the religious conservatives are making up out of nothing but desire to move the needle closer to personhood begins at conception. I oppose any legislation that interferes with healthcare decisions of citizens male or female and certainly any that criminalize the makers of those decisions when they do no harm to any actual living persons. On another level, the more this creeps toward a total abortion ban, the harder it will become to attract young people to live or stay living in our state. When women have less rights in NH than in surrounding states, which one do you think they and their partners are going to choose to live and work in?
