My daughter had significant, life long developmental disabilities. Many times, while out in the community there were Still places she could not go due to their not being wheelchair accessible. Or in some department stores, they would pack the clothes racks so close together we couldn't walk amidst them with the wheelchair. Situations like these made her feel so diminished and unwelcome as a citizen and as a human being. It screamed "you don't belong here...you don't matter." NH has worked hard over the decades to be a state for people of ALL abilities. Let's not go backwards. Support HB 1593 and tell people like my daughter they are worthy of respect and access, too.
