This bill would prevent regulation of so-called "pregnancy resource centers". These centers are structured to purport to provide medical services, but in fact are not usually staffed by actual trained medical professionals. In addition, they actually serve as lobbyists against the pregnancy option of abortion, which is a legal, safe option for people who cannot care for a (or another) child at this point in their lives. In addition, these centers often lie or distort their information, misrepresenting gestational age, and telling women that they can't have an abortion for some manufactured reason. These centers need regulation, adherence to law, and an end to their lies and political (and often religious) activism.
