As a mother of an adult daughter who was eligible for SNAP benefits following the birth of her son, I strongly support maintaining SNAP benefits as they are. I saw firsthand how they allowed my daughter to feed herself and her husband while she was recovering from the birth and until she could begin working FT again. I am also a social worker who has seen how SNAP benefits alleviate the stress of feeding families from the clients I serve.
