Strong public schools are a foundational element of our nation’s success. Public schools provide a guaranteed education to all students. Charter schools do not typically have resources to support disabled students, students with learning disabilities, and often, even just students who have just fallen behind. If we want to support all of our children’s educations, we need to improve our public schools, not pull the plug in favor of a solution that will leave many students behind.
