As a former homeschooling mother I fully support this bill. I'm fact I hope it gets further amended to take away the last few regulations. When I home schooled I only had to inform the district he wouldn't be in attendance so they knew not to schedule him for anything. That is what schooling should be. Cut ties. .... ..... And, committee members, please discount any testimony given that equates schooling with abuse, even a cursory search of available information shows that is not true but is a fiction of any home school powers. .... .... public, private, charter, or home school is a decision of parents/guardians as to what they think is best for the child, please don't listen to the blue/red bickering that one is better and the other is evil.
