This is another discriminatory anti-trans bill similar to those recently vetoed by Gov Ayotte and Gov Sununu before her. What's interesting about this one is that the prime sponsor misgendered a person last year when a similar bill was being considered. She identified a person as a biological male and yelled at "him" for harassing her outside the women's room. ("He" wasn't.) THEY are actually a nonbinary person, muscular, tattooed and with a mustache, so the mistake is understandable. But here's the kicker - if this bill or one similar gets signed into law, that misgendered person would be sharing the bathroom with the female rep, because their original birth certificate identifies them as female. Misgendering is a huge problem with these bills and cisgender women who don't fit the stereotype are the most likely victims. ITL, please. Thank you.
