Once again, the purpose of this bill is to further limit the use of SNAP funds to help NH individuals (largely elders) and families have access to foods that will keep them healthy in a time when costs across the board are rising beyond our reach. I'm a 79 year old professional woman on very limited income, and SNAP has been a lifeline for me. This bill aims to limit the kinds of things we can use our SNAP funds for. One of those that's already limited by law is toilet paper. Is that not ridiculous? Is there a person or family anywhere in our state for whom toilet paper isn't a daily necessity? Leaves me to wonder what else they think should be limited. Absolutely a NO on this bill. Someone should shake the conscience of the folks who proposed it.
