I am against open enrollment because of the way NH fails to adequately support public education. Until the tax structure is fixed in an equitable way, open enrollment will solidify inequities and destroy local schools. This commission is necessary to truly study open enrollment and find out if it is even possible in NH. Utterly necessary because the current bill is appalling— short-sighted, destructive, misleading, and incomplete.
