I’m writing to urge you to oppose any legislation that restricts access to public restrooms based on gender identity. As a non-binary constituent, these bills directly affect my ability to participate safely and comfortably in everyday life. Everyone deserves to use facilities that align with who they are without fear of harassment, exclusion, or legal penalties. Policies that single out transgender and non-binary people do not improve safety — they only create stigma and make public spaces less welcoming for many members of our community. I ask you to stand for dignity, fairness, and personal safety by voting against these bathroom ban bills. Our laws should protect people, not target them. Please prioritize policies that promote inclusion and respect the lived experiences of all constituents, including LGBTQ+ people like me.
