Dear Members of the House Transportation Committee, I’m writing to oppose HB1165, which seeks to eliminate the X gender designation on drivers’ licenses and IDs. Forcing those who do not identify in the binary to choose M or F is discriminatory and rejects the existence and validity of non-binary and gender fluid individuals. To remove the X option does not accomplish anything beneficial but it does negatively impact citizens who identify most accurately with the X marker. Please uphold the rights and dignity of our gender diverse citizens by opposing HB1165. Thank you for your consideration, Theresa Vaillancourt Goffstown, NH
