I oppose this as a titer is not proof of immunity just of recent exposure https://rabiesaware.org/rabies-titer-testing • A “positive” RVNA test result only means that the animal has mounted an adequate immune response following vaccination. • A “positive” RVNA test result is NOT interpreted as immunity to or protection from rabies virus if exposed. • RVNA test results will not distinguish between rabies infection and rabies vaccination. https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/003333.htm • Why the Test is Performed • The antibody level (titer) in the blood tells your health care provider whether or not you have been exposed to an antigen, or something that the body thinks is foreign. My understanding is that a low titer may mean nothing more than no recent exposure. A high titer may mean only recent exposure to a pathogen or vaccine. The titer test gives you some information but is not proof of immunity.
