I’m dealing with this situation for my almost 88 year old father who is in a memory care facility. His claims for a hospitalization are being denied as unnecessary, even though he had Covid and flu and was in respiratory distress. The hospitals don’t want to admit anyone, so when the doctor insists that it’s necessary, their opinion should override the insurance’s idea of what is reasonable care.
