NO NO NO. Parents alone should not be able to direct the education of their children. Not all parents are qualified to handle this responsibility. Children should have rights. Giving parents absolute rights over directing their children’s education could prove disasterous for the child. There are parents who are brilliant and kind, and there are parents who are ignorant, cruel, and abusive. Children should be allowed to have influences outside of the confines of the home. DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS BILL. Educate yourselves on the statics for child abuse—and child sexual abuse. Think of what you might be doing by allowing a parent to have absolute power over how a child is educated.
