Being allowed to use a rabies titer is an important choice for pet owners. The fact that the 1yr and 3yr rabies shots are exactly the same but have different expirations is suspicious, The dose for a 7lb dog or a 100lb dog being the same is extremely concerning. I had to have 3 preventative rabies shots for my previous job, in 2003. In 2024 I had a titer done and I STILL had antibodies for rabies protection. There is no need to vaccinate dogs so often. It is harmful to dogs and has no benefit except to those who benefit financially. Please support this bill to give pet owners informed consent and options to manage their dogs' health as they see fit.
