There is no need to continuously vaccinate pets for rabies, if titers tests can demonstrate immunity. Please give pet owners this option—some animals, especially elderly ones, are especially sensitive to repeated vaccinations. Many domesticated pets have about as much chance of contracting rabies as their human owners, yet we do force people to receive this vaccine every three years. A titer test option is a reasonable compromise.
