Derek Neathery | Oppose HB1133

? LGD’s bark to alert the presence of predators Fox, Coyote and Fisher Cats. That presence could be on property, 3 yards from it or 1/2 a mile away. LGD’s are doing their job! What they’re bread for. ? Not only are they alerting but their barking is also deterring predators. Our 1st year of owning our NH farm without LGD’s had packs of Coyote running all over our farm. The 10 years since we’ve owned and raised LGD’s, we have not seen a single Coyote and with the exception of the occasional Fox our predator load has been reduced to near zero. ? By enacting this bill into law, you are attempting to legislate Nature. LGD’s are doing what nature has given them the instinct to do. What has proven over 100’s of years to work. Don’t punish them or their owners for doing what comes naturally.
