There are people who are non-binary relative to their gender identity whether the sponsors acknowledge reality or not. This bill is just cruel. An X on the driver’s license does no harm to anyone. It does not threaten anybody’s gender identity, but allows for recognition of those who do not identify as f or m. As a retired teacher, I recall when the first student who was non-binary disclosed that reality to me. It took minimal effort to learn about this from reliable, scientific sources. Try going to the PFLAG website with an open mind and even more importantly, an open heart.
