I am in support of HB 1070 for ambulance transportation rather than law enforcement vehicle for involuntary admission. People suffering from a mental health crisis have not committed a crime and should be treated with dignity and respect just as any other health crisis is considered. My adult son has been throught the involuntary admission experience at least 3 times and, each time, transported by law enforcement in handcuffs from our home. He had committed no crime and was not threatening. No reason to subject him to police presence during this difficult and frightening situation. I support HB 1070.
