I am writing to express my opposition to HB1815. Through repeated lawsuits it has been determined that the State has a constitutional duty to fund an adequate public education. This bill is an attempt to shift that burden from the State to the individual local towns where there are not equal tax bases. This creates wide-spread disparities between different towns and cities and their ability fund public education.
