Revising the statutory requirements rather than adequately funding public education at the state level, is unacceptable. Rather than working to make our public schools better, this bill attempts to redefine requirements in a way that will undermine them, and the communities that depend on—and strongly support—their public schools. The vast majority of people want stronger public education, not changing rules that will weaken them.
