I am a NH resident and I strongly oppose this bill. I believe that its passage would inevitably endanger medical providers and their patients. Women must maintain their reproductive rights and have access to the care they want and need as advised by their choice of medical provider. Regardless of the reason a woman might decide or be forced to terminate a pregnancy, abortions are still legal in NH despite the strong objections of some. In fact, it is the violent nature of how those extreme objections were carried out in the past that made safety zones necessary There were very good reasons why safety zones were instituted years ago. Those reasons include at least 11 murders, 42 bombings, 200 arsons, and 531 assaults against abortion providers and patients in the USA alone since the 1970s. I cannot comprehend how anyone would propose doing away with safety zones and allowing anyone to feel empowered to commit violence against abortion providers and their patients again. This bill is incredibly misogynistic and irresponsible. I ask every member of this Committee to please vote against this dangerously ill-considered bill. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
