I strongly support HB1782 because rural maternal health access is a critical public-health need. Families in rural communities face long travel times, limited provider availability, and rising maternity-ward closures. A DHHS-led pilot program can help rebuild access and improve outcomes, provided it is adequately funded and inclusive of the full spectrum of maternal-care providers.
