Martha Harris

Because so many parents and minors were given false information about gender affirming care, they did not have the facts they needed to realize that they had been irreparably harmed by drugs and procedures that had never been shown to solve the problems the minor was facing. For example, many were told that they/ their child would commit suicide without gender affirming care. This unsupported claim creates a delay in the individual and family finding the facts needed to see how they were mislead and not given the opportunity for informed consent. The extra time is needed for them to uncover the truth around the malpractice.
